RESTEC Conducts a Remote Sensing Lecture for JICA Training

On 1st November 2019, the trainees of the JICA training course “Policy making for space exploitation, such as utilization of satellites, which avail social and economic development” visited RESTEC and learned about remote sensing.

The trainees are from Indonesia (1), Rwanda (1) and Vietnam (3) who have been involved with policy and implementation of space development in their countries. They are expected to play a key role in the near future.

Masatoshi Kamei, Manager of the Capacity Building Section of RESTEC conducted his lecture which includes fundamentals of remote sensing and examples of data applications. The trainees expressed their interests in satellite data applications in Japan and made fruitful discussions after the lecture.
