JAPAN NATIONAL STADIUM had completed on November 30, 2019.
On January 1, 2020, the Emperor's Cup soccer final was held as an opening of a new stadium.

It is a five-story building with two basement levels, with a site area of approximately 109,800 m2 and a building area of 69,600 m2.
It was a big project with a three-year construction period, a cumulative total of 1.5 million workers, and a project amount cost of approximately 156.9 billion yen.

In this image taken on April 26, 2021, facilities have been set up in the surrounding Meiji Jingu Sub Stadium, and an athletic track has appeared in front of the Picture Gallery, indicating that preparations are underway for the 2020 Tokyo Games, a world sporting event to held from July 23, 2020.

When designing such a large building, the environmental impact must be considered.
The environmental assessment simulation (urban airflow) of the National Stadium using detailed three-dimensional topographic data (AW3D) acquired from satellites is available at the following link "Maps & Urban Planning."
