About RECCA

This program promotes R&D to provide scientific knowledge for decision makers in local governments so that they can reflect the result of climate change projection in local level to their climate change adaptation policies.
Science-based information on climate change projection is vital to make adaption policies by considering the future affect of climate change. However, it is told that the spatial resolution of the current climate change projection is not sensitive enough for local-scale, and the following modifications are required:
- Improvement of temporal and spatial resolution for the calculation,
- Reduction of uncertainty during the forecast.
Additionally, a climate change adaptation simulation, which uses fruits of the climate change projection by general circulation models, could provide a scientific knowledge that is necessary to plan effective adaptations for decision makers and stakeholders, by considering social situations of the area.
