Trainees from PNG take RS training for forest management


RESTEC accepted two trainees from Papua New Guinea (PNG) for three days from Sep 14 to 16, 2015. They came to Japan to receive two weeks of training on Remote Sensing / GIS as part of the “Capacity Development Project for Operationalization of PNG Forest Resource Information Management System for Addressing Climate Change,” funded by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and conducted by Kokusai Kogyo Co., Ltd (KKC). RESTEC provided lectures about general remote sensing and SAR techniques that use data from ALOS-2.
