RESTEC Employee Receives 2014 IEEE GRSS Highest Impact Paper Award as Co-Author of a Paper
The Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Inc. (IEEE) has selected a paper co-authored by an employee of RESTEC for the 2014 Highest Impact Paper Award under its Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society.
The selected paper was authored by a research group led by Dr. Masanobu Shimada, Principal Researcher at the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA). Mr. Kazuo Isono, RESTEC’s Deputy Senior Research Scientist (currently Manager of the World 3D Project Team), was involved in the data analysis for this paper.
The technological expertise published in this paper is applied to calibration and validation work for the PALSAR-2 sensor mounted on the ALOS-2 that was launched on 24 May 2014, as well as to the analysis of SAR data from countries around the world that is carried out by RESTEC.
