The 5th GEOSS Asia-Pacific Symposium -Result-
he Group on Earth Observation (GEO) held the 5th GEOSS Asia-Pacific Symposium at National Museum of Emerging Science and Innovation (Miraikan) Tokyo, from 2 – 4 April, 2012, under the support from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in Japan (MEXT) . RESTEC organized this symposium as a local secretariat under the agreement with GEO.
Total 283 participants from 21 countries and 4 international organizations joined this symposium and discussed the promotion of societal benefits from the Global Earth Observation System of Systems (GEOSS). The participants agreed the Tokyo Statement on the last day recognizing the importance of earth observations for green growth.
