Summary Report: The 4th Taiwan-Japan Remote Sensing Workshop
On Thursday, January 17, 2013, RESTEC partnered with the three organizations of the Center for Space and Remote Sensing Research (CSRSR) at National Central University (NCU)* in Taiwan, the Chinese Society of Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (CSPRS), and the Remote Sensing Society of Japan (RSSJ) to host the 4th Taiwan-Japan Remote Sensing Workshop entitled “TAIWAN-JAPAN Workshop 2013 on Remote Sensing Applications for Global Environment Monitoring and Disaster Mitigation.”
At the Workshop, there were 17 presentations on the latest research results in a wide variety of fields, from the environment (agriculture, seaweed farming, and the atmosphere), to disasters, including introductions of the latest conditions of the major satellites ALOS-2/3 from Japan and FORMOSAT from Taiwan. The meeting participants also had lively discussions.
